Vive Sol. This place is heaven on earth. Words are not enough to describe the food at this restaurant. Food is divine, service impeccable and drink selection is top of the class. Ambiance is simple yet elegant. The owners treat the customers as family. I have yet to meet someone who was disappointed with the food and/or drinks. This place is a "sister" to "Palo Alto Sol" located in "the other" downtown Palo Alto (on California). Various family members own and operate other fine Mexican restaurants around the Bay Area (La Fiesta, Fiesta Del Mar, Fiesta Del Mar Too, and the list goes on ...)

This building also was home to St. Anthanasius Catholic School. The school closed in the mid 70's. These building sat vacant for many years until a Montesourri open on this spot, then a day care was there for a few years, and now the Girl's Middle school calls this home.
  • St. Athanasius Church, omaddox (guest) wrote 17 years ago:
I grew up next to this church. The field at the end of their property would get really overgrown in the summers and we'd build forts in the brush. When I was a kid it was a catholic school. The school school a few years after I moved to the neighborhood though. The school portion was reopened in the last few years as an all girls school.
